Kraft Mountain Loop Trail
This was my first time hiking with a group in Red Rock in an area east of the national park. We got an early start and were treated to some spectacular clouds and a bright moon display lingering over the actual mountains. The Kraft Mountain Loop Trail is moderate in difficulty with limited scrambling. You’ll spend time on the trail with some spectacular views of wild geographic colors. Groups will really get to see the beauty and awe of Red Rock all in one route. This trail is a perfect balance of all things great in Red Rock. You spend time in a wash filled with trees, desert areas with small plants, and passing a plethora of rocks with intricate designs and patterns.

You will also find many groups of rock climbers in these areas doing both harnessed climbing and bouldering. It was fun to come around a turn and see different groups focused on scaling a variety of challenges. Depending on the time of year you may also find water in the washes.
